Dimitri likes to match the glasses to the color clothes he is wearing. The other day we were driving, I look back and Dimitri is wearing two pair of sun glasses. Our silly boy! Our boys are adorable...simple adorable!
Spring is here! That means Dimitri is in "spring training" for T-ball. Dimitri loves playing baseball and it seems like we are outside almost every day for batting practice. Yesterday after "batting practice" Dimitri grabbed a piece of sidewalk chalk and without hesitation he started making his own hopscotch game. It was adorable to watch him make the shapes and in the shapes he wrote all the appropriate numbers.
Our clever little boy!
Dimitri reaping the reward of his hard work. It's time to play!
A leprechaun came to our house during the night and gave the boys a special power. If they waved their hands over their cups the milk would turn green.
They were both excited to drink their green milk.
On Saturday, we went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Everyone was eager for the parade to start.
Our boys were adorable when the USMC passed carrying the flag. They stood up and put their hands over their hearts and stood in silence as the flag passed, it was a proud parent moment for the both of us. The start of the parade. The bag pipes were a family favorite. This horse was our favorite.
The parade was amazing and lucky for us we were Irish for a day!
Today, I watched my niece Bella for about an hour. Why does Bella looked shocked? I painted her toe nails today for the first time. I figured why not give her a little pedicure to help her relax and enjoy her time away from her parents. Bella seemed to love it! I kept telling her that her Mommy and Daddy were going to freak out when they saw her toes. Bella just smiled with delight and began to coo when I told her both of us were going to be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Does this mean she is already starting to rebel against her parents? Too funny! The big question is, do you think that they are going to let me watch her again?
Zachary arrives at school with his backpack in tow.
This is Ms. Bianca, one of his teachers. Zachary's other teacher is Ms. Carol. Mommy and Dimitri give Zachary a high five for good luck.
Zachary had an incredible day! This is the first craft that Zachary made in school. As you can see it is an elephant and he LOVED it! He colored the back side and made elephant sounds each time he put the mask on. We are very proud of you and we love you very much! Congratulations little man!
"They say that time in heaven is compared to 'the blink of an eye' for us on this earth. Sometimes it helps me to think of my child running ahead of me through a beautiful field of wildflowers and butterflies; so happy and completely caught up in what she is doing that when she looks behind her, I'll already be there." ~Unknown
Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose

Strength and courage aren't always measured in medals and victories. They are measured in the struggles that they overcome. The strongest people aren't always the people who win, but the people who don't give up when they lose.

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling) I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart. I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart) by E. E. Cummings
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is bliss, taste it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it.
"Whatever they grow up to be, they are still our children, and the one most important of all the things we can give to them is unconditional love. Not a love that depends on anything at all except that they are our children".
- Rosaleen Dickson
"When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power" -Hugh White
Living with integrity means: "Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe". Barbara De Angelis
Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory. ~ Betty Smith ~
"My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return". -Maya Angelou
You must begin to trust yourself. If you do not, then you will forever be looking to others to prove your own merit to you, and you will never be satisfied. You will always be asking others what to do and at the same time resenting those from whom you seek such aid. ~ author unknown ~
Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you want. ~ Margaret Young ~
"Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."
Though no-one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new end. ~ Author Unknown ~
You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it. ~ Maya Angelou ~
If you look at what you have in life, You'll always have more. If you look at what you don't have in life, You'll never have enough. ~ Oprah Winfrey ~
The purpose of relationshipis not to have another who might complete you, but to have another with whom you might share your completeness. ~ Neale Donald Walsch ~
Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong. ~ Ella Fitzgerald ~
"Taking one foot and putting it in front of the other, that is the only way to travel forward...If however you take steps forward whilst looking backward; well -then you will fall over because you end up tripping over something you would easily have seen if looking where you were going in the first place. So, when looking back just stay still for a moment, allow yourself to reflect, but then you must at some point turn around and just keep moving - or you will stagnant on the spot which means going nowhere at all."-Jacquelene Close Moore
